Do you ever have days where you get up in the morning and right away you're just bubbling over with joy and happiness?  That's how I feel today.  I don't know why, I just am.  Actually, that's not entirely true.  I do know why.  It's because once again I've realized just how much Jesus loves me.   Just thinking about that makes me feel so safe and happy and full of joy.   Joy is contagious, so I thought I'd try and "infect" the rest of you with it today:)
For today's wallpaper, I give you Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden in...Sabrina!

Sabrina is without a doubt one of my very favorite movies.  I have a lot of favorite movies - my Blogger profile shows lengthy evidence of that fact - but only a few make it onto my very favorite list.  And this is definitely one of them.   I love romantic comedies.  Humor and romance - can it get any better?   Especially when combined with Audrey Hepburn and Bogie!  Oh yes, I love this movie=)
"David, you make it sound so vulgar, as if the son of the Mustard King were being offered in marriage to the daughter of the Hot Dog dynasty."
I have fond memories of the first time I saw it.   It was last March when I was visiting my cousins back east.  Fortified with truffles and chocolate dipped nuts (left over from the wedding), Abbie and I stayed up late watching and laughing.  Such fun:)
Okay, I'm done with my little stroll down memory lane...
Have a wonderful, joy filled day everyone!

I love her dress! I liked it so much that I decided I needed one just like it someday :). I have a request. Actually I have two. I would love to have a wallpaper of the actress who plays in a lot of the Harold Lloyd's (I don't know her name) and You Can't Take It With You (which, by the way has become one of my favorite movies :). I think we are planning on being at the Folk Festival this Sunday. I hope so anyway!

I've decided I need a dress like that, too!  Maybe we can have a sewing day sometime:)
Certainly!  I think I know which actress you mean from the Harold Lloyd movies, and I definitely need to make one from You Can't Take It With You!  I'm so glad you liked that movie:)
I hope you do come!  That would so lovely!=)

You know, I was just thinking about that movie tonight! I was making scrambled eggs for dinner, and cracking them with one hand, I was talking without knowing it until Ken looks up from his Bacon flavored Spam and says, 'Sarah what are you saying?' I had been saying, 'One, two, three, CRACK! New egg. One, two, three, CRACK! New egg.' lol

I think the same thing when I'm cracking eggs, only I can't do it one handed..well, I can, but it's not pretty.  Not pretty. ;)

Hehehee - that's one small kitchen skill that I'm pathetically proud of - I can crack a mean one-handed egg :) lol. We all have our niche, I suppose :=D Sabrina is the movie that inspired me to figure out how to do it!

You'll have to help me with my technique next time we're together;)  And we should watch Sabrina while doing so, of course.

And cheese cubes! Don't forget the cheese cubes! Remember when we were rattling and thrashing around in the kitchen at like, 2 am, and my mom called, "Are you okay?" And we're like, "Yeah, we're just getting some snacks!" And she just said, "Oh. Okay!"  lol.
I'm so honored to have been the one to introduce you to this beautiful classic. A wonderful movie indeed.
And this is a beautiful wallpaper!! They keep getting better and better :) I love that cute, triumphant expression on Audrey Hepburn's face. I think it's because of the bicycle. Ya can't beat a good old fashioned bicycle :)

Oh yes, of course!  And those crackers that you said smelled like bacon...you didn't like them.  But I did=)
lol.  Your mom was so relaxed and tolerant of our early morning foraging expeditions.  I loved it:)
My first Audrey Hepburn movie! I am eternally grateful for the introduction:)
I love the expression on her face, too, although I can't remember her riding a bicycle in the movie...I had to use it though.  It was too cute:)
Have you seen Funny Face?  If you haven't, you would love it.
That's what I'm watching right now.  I washed my hair and then curled up in my bathrobe on my bed to be entertained and delighted by Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn.  S'wonderful;)
