Update#14: Crystal Cave in Polar Drilling. All worlds ready for export except for upside-down-drill issue in Polar Drilling. Next project: Another gigantic ship :D
I haven't posted anything in a bit, but I haven't really stopped working on the worlds, and I'm updating this post to show my progress on some of them. All of the updated worlds will only be available to syn3h, but I will keep the old links up too, but they might change. Aubrey has said that syn3h will be fully 
 
Potholes: 
 
I actually made this a year or 2 ago, and I haven't really changed it since.

There is a cube that animates its color.
Submarine world:
 
I realize this is made for syn3h, when there will be a submarine, and it is almost impossible to explore with a buggy, so do you want me to hide the lava, so you can explore it? I also might add underwater base, so if anyone has any ideas for that, let me know. I also realize the submarine goes way to fast, but have not found a good way to slow it down without messing up the animation. Picture:
 
 
Spikes:
 
I think that this world will be fun for dogfighting, and just maneuvering around through the spikes. I might add a sketch-up something to this world but I'm not quite sure what.
Maze World:
 
I added a path of lights to show the direction between the two soon-to-be flags. There is lots of stuff hidden in this map, and it is very big. I hope CTF is included in a release of syn3h soon!! :P

I decided to not include a overhead picture, as it would be a give-away to the structure of the maze, and would be like a map.

I added torches, and light-mapped this world.I It is a world made completely in sketchup, and it is basically a terrain with holes and stuff in it to make it fun. It includes a half pipe. Picture:

Gigarace:
 
This is basically a gigantic race. I understand if it is too gigantic for you. Here is a picture: Also, this is part of the hovercraft race world competition.
Exported with blue theme.
 
Star Titan:
 I will add some other stuff onto it, but I need some more ideas for it! Here are some pictures to show you what it looks like: If you want to see more pictures, I can take them. Please! Suggestions...
 
 
Coloplura:
 
Obviously I had some fun with this world. :P Basically I just went insane with the unity beast lightmapper. This map is made with unity three, so it is only compatible with syn3h, and it will not be exported for a while unless so
Pretty colors. ;)
meone else does it. Each lightmap takes about 45 minutes to do, beast is pretty awesome. I added some cool particle stuff. Picture:
 
 
 
Ultra WOOP Land:
 Ultra WOOP Land is an old world that Blam and I worked on a while ago. He kinda left, so I’ve been updating it. I don’t really remember what I’ve done, but I’m sure I’ve done some stuff to it.

This world is a a bunch of boxes, not much more to say. I might make it bigger.

Looking like some very good map, for the maze though... no roof?  Or something like that?  I suppose not... but it would still be fun with no wings, buggys, no minimap, fog... auto respawn lasers... You get the point.  The tube world could be called Slidey! (So unimaginative I know)

Great worlds. I have yet to give some name suggestions (or general suggestions) but so far a goods start. Original. Especially the Submarine world. Underwater base, ingenious. Anyway, good luck, Gubbeh.

I have two questions for anyone who knows the answer:
  • How can I make lava with the effects and physics like the lava in the volcano in freestyle?
  • Can I lightmap a mesh in U3, then add the lightmap onto a mesh in U2?

Unfortuanatley, the preview does not work.  There are too many options so it glitches when you click on one.  I especially like the spike world and lava world.  Please export to playable urls (for real mars) soon!

For the preview to work there you need to right click on it and press, go full screen. I will export the worlds very soon, if I get some suggestions sometime.

Make sure to go into full screen when you open it. Otherwise the buttons don't work.

I think the colored fog would add a nice touch. Go for it! Its my personal opinion is that those effects are best used without a heavy hand, as at some point they end up interfering with gameplay, so that's something to keep in mind.

I think the fog will be set like the visibility on mars, so people will be able to control the effect. And the green is just ambient light which was already there, so it won't cause lag.

My favourite is the Slidey one. The ship looks good, and, well, I CAN'T WAIT FOR SYN3H So I CAN PLAY THE SUB ONE!

Great worlds, Gub. I love the colorful and alternative style that you've implemented with these maps. They're just so much fun to explore, it'd appear you've mastered the render settigs, the texture's are very well painted and like I said earlier, these worlds are just fun.
 
Potholes looks great. I can't wait to play in it. The terrain is well sculpted and the detail is impressive.
 
Hilly has such a brilliant name, it's so simple yet suits the world so much. Probably because the world itself so so brilliantly simple.
 
Slidey is like nothing I've seen on Mars before. It's colorful, wacky and a blast to ride XORB's in. I've seen tube worlds before, but hardly any contain actual color.
 
Submarine world will shine once Syn3h gets its Sub.
 
Spikes looks like a flu virus! (not that that's a bad thing) The dark blue color just makes it better.
 
Maze world was fun. I like all the objects and details it contains - it keeps the world from getting repetitive and boring.
 
Yayterrain is definitly interesting. Looks like it would be a pleasure to ride a buggy on. I don't really get it, though. I like it's randomocity.
 
Gigarace looks like fun! Can't wait to put my Hovercraft on it!
 
Big Ship. Definitly the highlight of this topic. I love the Big Ship. And it will be an amazing world once completed. Please keep us updated on its progress.
 
To close it off I do like your worlds (can you tell? :P) Some of the worlds do indeed need better names, such as"Tube World" or "Submarine World" But I understand that they are temporary names. Just don't change the name of Hilly. I love Hilly.

I am about to post some new worlds on here. (within this week) : D
 
I am trying to replicate the Spikey world, with an large version of it, but it is proving to be difficult, as I have no clue what I did to make it with the terrain toolkit.
 
I replaced the name of "Submarine World" with "Underwaterland", but is that any better? I'm not sure. I also changed Tube world to "tubees". 
 
I am also planning on adding more objects too the Mazey.
 
Expect some updates pretty soon. ;)

Just played GigaRace, and Gub, some of those slopes are incredibly punishing. Seriously, it took me 10 minutes to get up one, and there was another equally as high on the other side. Please reconsider the height of these slopes.

Did you do it with a hovercraft? If you did, yes, there are some slopes that are pretty challenging (especially if you fall down some places), but if you put hovercraft thrust up a bit on the server settings, it helps a lot.
 
If you weren't using a hovercraft... well... The level wasn't designed for buggies anyway. :P A bit more power should do the trick though.

Erm... sorry, it wasn't stated anywhere that this wasn't for a buggy, but I think you should make one for them, like GTR's, you'd do a really good job.
So this is for a hovercraft? I honestly haven't used the hovercraft in a year or two, so I might try it.
It sounds like a fun concept.

Well, I don't have that much time to work on them, but generally the ones with more detail take me a long time, such as the complex animation path in Underwaterland. I would also say making meshes takes a long time, terrain worlds are pretty fast.
 
A good world takes a few weeks to a month or two. if you aren't always working on it.

Hey Gub, would you please consider reposting this all clean and tidy? There are world URLs all over the place and it's getting confusing.
 
I would suggest posting the title of the world then the URL then the photo for each world in sequence. I hate to say "Just sayin'." but I am just sayin'.
 
Also did you change Spikes? I am running into invisible stuff there with the URL I use.
 
Plus you have two Yay Terrain URLs. ARRRG!
 
Also I don't like mazey, sorry Gub but the walls have to little visual contrast to navigate.

I agree with kruncher on this, except for the two YAYterrain URLs. You just labeled Mazey's URL as YAYterrain. And I actually like Mazey. And kruncher, I had the same problem. Just turn up your rendering quality to simple. It helps :P

I actually took a break from working on my tutorial. I've kind of realized how much work I've gotten myself into by doing that. I'll probably find a site that has sketchup stuff and just copy it over into my tutorial, adding onto it too (giving them credit of course).
 
No, but it makes it look a lot better. 
 
Thanks! In Coloplura, it's starting to take at least 2 hours to lightmap. I think I'll do one final lightmap and be done. :)

Ok. It is compatible in the sense that you can put it into your world and use it, edit it, and put it as part of it. I do not know if it is compatible in the exporting thingy. From what I have heard, however, it isn't.

You need Unity 2 to make worlds that will work with Mars Explorer, and Whirld 3.
 
You'll also need Achilles' Whirld tutorial to understand how to use the Whirld framework inside Unity, and some tutorials on how to use Unity which you can find pretty much anywhere on the internet.
 
For more ressources or if you need further help or advice, you can always go to this post.
