It feels as if I've been practically living in the garden this summer. . . but I like it that way!

Here's some assorted pictures of my summer garden rambles.

Enjoy!

Well, I'm off to start the process of turning 285 pounds of cabbage into delectable sauerkraut.  Oh, the joy. . . ;)

Y'all come back soon, you hear?

Lovingly,

I like the picture of the periwinkle (don't you love that word/color?) blue irises with part of the greenhouse in the background.  I wish I could have seen all of them in bloom.

P.S. How did the sauerkraut making go without my expert help? ;D

I wish you could have seen them, too!  I think those irises are call Victoria Falls.  So romantic. . .
Yes, I love the word and the color - in fact, when I was little, and my cousin and I would make up stories, I was always a pony named periwinkle=)

P.S. it's going along swimmingly. . . only about 47,000,000 more pounds to go;)

Thank you, Sereina!   I'm so glad you stopped by!
The iris bulbs were given to me last fall by my neighbor - who happens to be a professional flower grower and rare bulb collector.  It was a truly amazing gift. =)
