Hello everyone! After seeing MacDane's "Instant Messaging" thread yesterday (link) I decided to make a simple add on. I have one question though:
Do you (the community) think I should enable it through the entire Mars Explorer forum (like FC's spam post)?
This will be part of a two-step process. If I receive an OK from the community, I will then ask Aubrey for an OK as well.

I disagree, this clutters up the screen, if you could find a better way though...
but here is a novel idea, just GO TO THE GAME, that simple, plenty of people to chat with there.

Yes, the hide button works rather well for restoring screen real estate.

This is definitely NOT what I wanted.
The idea of an instant messaging system was that it would give alerts when someone tried to contact you.
(And it should be tied to your login on marsxplr, so we could avoid fakes. I have had my fair share of cloners)

There's a hide button link that minimizes the chat.

I know. But it's still too big. It should be a little popup like Facebook's, not a box that takes up about a quarter of the web page.

There's a built in popup for Meebo Chats (click the picture to enlarge):
You can hide the embedded chat and just have the window if you find that easier to use.
