What about a tiny plane (smaller than the buggy)? It could go 300 mph and accelerate quickly, it would not stall, would be weightless, and highly maneuverable. It would also have a feature when holding down space to "hop a few feet to left or right very quickly. It would have high-powered laser-locking with a wide locking area, but very short range, rapid-fire lasers. The overall effect would be a vehicle that could zoom around maps easily without being too difficult too fly through narrow spaces like buildings and forests and not present a huge target. It would have to dart in very close to targets to hit them but could immediately dart back away.

This sounds like a good vehicle, but thats the thing, it's too good. We try to keep the vehicles evenly matched so that they can have fair fights. This would just be a super vehicle, sorry but it's not practicle.

I think a super short range laser makes this plane be a really good and well ballanced aircraft!

Well, if people thought it was too hard, they could add RORBs. Another thing I forgot to mention is that maybe it could fly at about 50 mph under water?

By the sound of this, I would call it the hummingbird. Well without the humming part.

Well, I wasn't thinking of it hovering really but more zipping along and being able to dodge well... If you guys think it's best for it to hover though, that's fine.

Nice, what program did you use to make that?

1 suggestion though, maybe smooth out the edges to make it more aerodynamic.

I made it using sketchup--I will try to change it like you suggested; thanks for the ideas!

Very interesting! I did a search for "buzzer" but that didn't come up. This is a bit different to my mind but your project deserves just as much if not more attention as mine. I was thinking of this because I love flying the jet, but can't get into buildings and such without switching to hover mode. Thank you for the link!

In my opinion, this sorta sounds like a god mode vehicle; by that I mean that it would be impossible for even the best players to stand a chance.

If it's a little bigger, and doesn't go as fast as it does, then it'll be cool with me. :)

Bigger would be fine as long as it is still small enough to maneuver through dense areas... I think that default RORBs would be great for that, but bigger is fine too. Thanks for the commentary.

You know this would be great if the tank could fly, the hovercraft had missiles, and the buggy had a gatling-gun style laser cannon.

Sorry but it's too much.

It was just a thought... Maybe only with a top speed like the buggy's and it loses power temporarily after flying a certain distance?

how'd you make it so glossy using sketchup? I've got sketchup but I've not been able to make things glossy or the background black :(

I cheated... I rendered it using Podium, a free SU plugin. But the black background I got by opening the styles pane in the windows drop-down menu and changing the background.

Not quite... He sent me the link and I replied in this post, stating the key differences of which there are several. The only similarity I see between them is that they are both small aircraft. I do not mean to encroach on his idea and design.
