After seeing this video, all of ronnie & Mikewolf's ramblings suddenly make sense. I can't think of a better counterpart to Hovind's views on science than the political/social views of a former pro-wrestler who had his name legally changed to "Warrior".

(The video is about an hour long, jump to the 35 minute mark to see where he really starts going off the rails)

All you losers do, is mock. arrogant little punks that need to put their money where their mouth is. This is why war is coming. You arrogant bozos stand for the propaganda, thinking you are the enlightened ones. At least enlightened enough to call others stupid when you are the ones following your masters' orders.

Not bad, Mikey - I can almost hear the Ultimate Warrior voice in my head and see the glassy-eyed, thousand-yard stare while reading your post. But you forgot to mention anything about destrucity or how "queering don't make the world work".

The burden of proof is on you folks, that isn't my fault. Stop acting as if your junk science is proof. Go back to the lab and get proof first.

AND THAT"s WHY WE HAVE THE PEER REVIEWED PAPERS ON EVOLUTION

but when you're talking about god, then the burden lies with the theists.

You're right, it's just a theory... like gravity or the shape of the Earth.

Perhaps you could start by explaining which criteria the theory of evolution has failed to meet. Since you're discussing a scientific topic, I'lll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're familiar with the standards which are typically used to evaluate scientific theories.

Stop acting as if your junk science is proof. Go back to the lab and get proof first.

It's been 250-odd years since Darwin's theories were first published, and it's still being validated by experiments & research performed TODAY (much of it in fields that didn't even exist during Darwin's lifetime, E.g. genetics).

So - sorry - but if you want any thinking person to take your views seriously, then you're going to have to do a bit better than just regurgitating the same empty talking-points over and over.

What, you mean this?

"Stop acting as if your junk science is proof." Sorry, but that's not philosophical - hell, it's not a question either (literal or figurative).

kid.

Damn, you guys sure have some trouble getting your stories straight - according to ronnie, I'm an old man (or several of them, to be precise).

My phone # is 267-455-2349. Now it's out there. You post you number, this way the whole world will know you have no reason not to post your number, do you? Don't you even try to call me til you lay your number out there. Then we can talk, or I'll call you. If you can't afford it.

i wouldn't post my mobile number.
why? because calling that way costs tons of money. (and you are subjected to recieving a signal.
i won't post my email in public either, why?
because that means my email gets spammed with hordes of junkmail and the inbox fills like a irishman in a drinking game.
i have no qualms with PM it though.

"If you can't afford it."
that's an understatement.
calling you from here wouls cost me 1 euro a minute.
which is a lot when i useually call for 0.035 euros a minute.

Ok what is your name? I'll pay for the call. Call it capitalism supporting socialism. Isn't it funny, the socialist are the ones who fail to create wealth? lol In other words it's always the non producers that are socialists. Like there inability to go and get it is blamed on capitalism and they end up socialists. Not out scientific facts, but refusal to believe it is their own fault.

"Ok what is your name? I'll pay for the call."

i gave you my name, and i'll probably answer with it if you call me anyway.
"Call it capitalism supporting socialism."

i live in a social democracy....whos ecomic system is, capitalism...
what are you going to tell me that i do not know?

but how is this related to evolution or god anyway?

"the socialist are the ones who fail to create wealth?"

actually..if you look at the demographic distribution of it (like cuttign out all the SUPER rich people who raise the GNP, you might think differently.

"lol In other words it's always the non producers that are socialists"

or it's the producers that want to invest in human capital by helping pay for a higher skilled worker population.

here in NL we are basically a trade and technology community.
(hell, even our farmers are interested in biotechnology) we either have to invest heavily in a large higschooled workerpool, or we won't make it.

"Not out scientific facts, but refusal to believe it is their own fault."
???how is capitalism and socialism tied in with science?
now i'm just wanting to get that phonecall.

but again i'll aks you to get skype, because it's free and better quality.
because fiberoptic cables are better then spacebound EM waves.

I agree, but let us not be too harsh. yes, they can be a bit personal in their mockery, but that goes both ways, its not like we're much better. and yes, adaption (micro-evolution) does occur and yes it could be an explination to the mass of diversity that could be found on earth, but there are also limitations to what adaption and natural selection can accomplish. these limitations are not yet fully understood by both sides.

a while back, research has been done on the mind and the impact of dreams. they found that the universe as a whole runs on a certain frequency and that the human mind also runs on that same frequency. and that there is a link between our dreams and the universe itself, the cosmos is able to 'communicate' with us through our dreams (this isn't any religious 'mambo-jumbo').

so, I thought about it for a couple of months and thought that if the cosmos could (theoretically) communicate with us, then it should be conscious. therefore, in a sence, the universe is God?

"but there are also limitations to what adaption and natural selection can accomplish."

then anthony, i would aks you to please state soem of these.
this is a claim we hear over, and over and over again, but we never see it substantuated.

"they found that the universe as a whole runs on a certain frequency and that the human mind also runs on that same frequency.

frequency of what? NMR?
please explain further, and more importantly, provide your source.

" the universe is God?"

welcome to pantheism.
or let me ask you this: how does that mean the universe has to look like what the bible predicts? perhaps that prediction isn't any more descriptive of god the then vedes of hinduism.

Ah for once, a good answer. This goes to the "God is" understanding. Think of the energy in a stretched rubberband. Like I imagine the stretching of the universe somehow puts massive amounts of energy into the very fabric of the universe, Like the guys in the ZPE field talk about. Philosophically speaking, it seems to me more like God's energy is in our universe. And time in the higher dimention is but a tiny segment of the whole. For us to understand how the past is already linked to our end which has already happened, we just aren't there yet in our dimention. The bible says "what is past is past, what is and what will be has already been". When we think of this description in our finite understanding of the quantum world, it's hard to believe a man could even say that unless he understood what our experiments have taught us. But yet it is written. philosophically possible now from our new understanding. And don't worry brother, no Atheist can prove your statement false empirically. They just give opinion and force them on you. Hypothesize away man. It will be a long time til they can prove anything. God in the Bible says he will confound them, so take solice in that.

"When we think of this description in our finite understanding of the quantum world,"

and when we look at it like a prophetic statement, it becomes any old holy book.

"And don't worry brother, no Atheist can prove your statement false empirically.'

the question is... can ANYone prove it false?
and is there any evidence to support your hypothesis?

it's philosophical. You want to make it fact then the burden of proof is on you. You guys just don't get it. Stay off the pc and study some more junk science. Evidence to support it? Yep. Atheists freak out like it is the end of the world when I only give my opinion. That is evidence enough for me. I must be on to something to have them resort to mocking me as if these guys are even fit to hold my jock strap. Kind of like they know they can't prove squat and it pisses them off. I love being a YEC. They panic out of fear of us. For if people listen to us, they are doomed. lol It's not science at all Atheists. It's all political isn't it. Or are you folks here just ignoramuses when it comes to world views. Maybe you can bring your jokey doctor back in here to lay out the plan for our extermination. lol You are all the same smarme little know it alls. Empty pockets, empty hearts. But you folks know. lol
If you look with an open mind, the evidence for a creator is all around you. Just like you say evolution is all around us. That book is your enemy, I know. Calm down there lucy. lol

"it's philosophical. You want to make it fact then the burden of proof is on you. You guys just don't get it."

you continue to rae on about this being a philosophical matter.
as far as i can tell, you're just settign up some pseudo science thoughtexperiment and THEN claim the proof on burden is on us.

when it coem to reality, the stuff we can observe, test, ect. we can observe facts, make hypothesi and actually LEARN about how the world IS and we can appreach (remember no 100% proof in science) how it works.
this is what we did with gravity, quantum mechanics, atoms, cells, electricity and evolution.

now again, evolution is both a theory AND a fact.
you can observe the allel frequency changing in populations. that is A FACT.
how these mutations can lead to new species, or how the selecting factors select, or what species evolved from what commen ancestor (genome analysis) is the theory.
I don't care that you want to reject ToE on philosophical grounds, because reality is still there. If you want to learn somethign form reality, you use science. and boy does that approach work. me sittign behind this PC with my glass of refrigerated milk in a heated conctrete appartmant block is a radiating testamet to that in the 10 C weather.

and when it comes to philosophical arguments for god? the proof of burden lies with the theist. because of the simple philosophical principle of A is or A is not.
and A is not, untill you have reason to say there is A.
so give me your reason. and a thought experiment is not a reason. it's a way to clarify a reason.

"Atheists freak out like it is the end of the world when I only give my opinion."

or we roflmao when we read soem of the stuff you post. but ok.
go ahead call me, you have my information.

"That is evidence enough for me."

aah, rememeber what the bible said: "there will be scoffers"

"I must be on to something to have them resort to mocking me as if these guys are even fit to hold my jock strap.".
....yes OR you are so wrong we try to get you motivated to reapprais your look on reality by mocking you.
remember, anger is a great motivator.

"They panic out of fear of us."

and that is why nealry the entire biology community uses and strengthens the theory of evolution?

"For if people listen to us, they are doomed."

after seeing some YEC, like nephillemfree i would indeed say YEC dooms you. probably with insanity.

"lol It's not science at all Atheists. It's all political isn't it."

you;re gonna have to explain that to a student of biology...

"Or are you folks here just ignoramuses when it comes to world views."

having lived in many foreign countries and seen many religions and met people of many creeds, i woul guesss not. but HEY, call me and prove me wrong.

Um, no, the burden of proof for evolution has been more than met - which is not the same thing as having been proven. You do realize there's a distinction, right?

Atheists freak out like it is the end of the world when I only give my opinion.

Oh you poor baby.

That is evidence enough for me. I must be on to something to have them resort to mocking me

Ah yes, the last resort of the conspiracy theorist - "people mock me, therefore I must be right!"

So if peope mock Flat-Earthers, then that must mean the Earth is flat, right?

as if these guys are even fit to hold my jock strap.

Unwarranted self-importance, noted.

I love being a YEC. They panic out of fear of us.

Utterly dismantling each and every claim and supposed piece of "evidence" that YECs have ever put forth? Yep, that sounds like standard human panic behaviour to me </sarcasm>.

If you look with an open mind, the evidence for a creator is all around you.

Really, now? So you should have no problem giving examples, right? Strange that in the 15 hours and 20 minutes you've spent on this site (ccording to your profile), you haven't been able to provide even ONE example.

Think of the energy in a stretched rubberband. Like I imagine the stretching of the universe somehow puts massive amounts of energy into the very fabric of the universe

There's no theoretical or observational data to support that, with the (distant) possible exception of Hawking radiation.

Philosophically speaking, it seems to me more like God's energy is in our universe. And time in the higher dimention is but a tiny segment of the whole. I've read this over four times now, and I'm still not sure what you're trying to say.

And don't worry brother, no Atheist can prove your statement false empirically. They just give opinion and force them on you. Hypothesize away man. It will be a long time til they can prove anything. God in the Bible says he will confound them, so take solice in that.
