1- Plexpedia:
Plexpedia is the amazing web service created by Aubrey, the administrator of Mars Explorer. It strives to be a service which allows site creators to combine the concepts of blogs, forums, and wikis all in one package. Registered users are able to create 'groups' allowing them to create their own site to which other users can add content. Mars Explorer is just one of several sites using the Plexpedia service. Others include MENAR and HumorAmerica.
2- The Early Days
And Aubrey said "LET THERE BE LIGHT!" And there was light.
Mars Explorer began its life on Aubrey's first day of unity. From there to began to evolve into...(to be continued)...
yadayada
3- The Club Wars
As Mars Explorer grew, players began to organize themselves into 'clubs'. These were essentially social groups that sometimes met in exclusive servers to chat and do whatever the purpose of the club was. One particularly popular club was the Early Bird club. This club met early on Saturday mornings to talk and play tag. It eventually grew to around 30 members, and was headed up by (Frost Guerilla) Free WillieEB.1. Other popular clubs included the Elites (led by Jelite/Jay), the ACC (led by supermarinespitfire), and the STR (led by kuomomaru the reaper). However, some clubs were not the sane, safe, and happy places the above clubs were. These included the X clan (officially headed by DarknessX/LordX, but was really an anarchy of sorts) and the Black Raccoons. These uncivil clubs often decided to fight with each other and even with the more respectable clubs. In those days there was no boot/ban and no moderators, leading to a 'wild west' type of environment. Most clubs initially set out to be peaceful social groups, but all of them ended up making Mars Explorer a very hostile place. This, and other factors, would soon lead to their downfall... For some perspective on this era, read this post:

Aubrey should release a version called mars explorer classic. Basically, the old version with some new luxuries. :)

I KNOW!

if he makes mars explorer payable, when you pay, you can get the classic, 1.4, and original original buggy (The first buggy on mars.) Then you can play with the old ones! That would be serious fun.

In an previous version some people I know made a club called "Wasent Me" or something. Some of my friends and I joined a few games with this club they would find the quarry, corner him/her and shoot the metal out of it. A few of us decided to stop this club. We all joined and I hosted a game we got into a hover crafts so we would be safe from the avents about to happen. I put the buggy speed super high and turned on xorbs. As far as I could tell from the not responding signs all of them had crashed. Truth be told I didn't mean to do it I just tried to shoot them of the map! Now one ever saw them again!

Hey, on the Early Days part, you should put in that Aubrey tinkered around with Unity and eventually came up with Mars.  And you should have a veichle section.  Telling when each veichle was introduced and who made it.  Basically look at the Tributes page and put some of the data that's there into this post.  :-)

Even better than, "tinkered around with Unity and eventually came up with Mars," he came up with it on the first day he had Unity. Fact 2: The original Unity3d Fourms post for Mars Explorer.

I know it probably would have happened anyways, but after creating the Black Raccoons, everyone else caught onto the idea of clubs and clans. :
And just to think, it all started with a clone! :3
Anyways.
I formally apologize for starting the club wars..
The Black Raccoons died out within hours, but by then it was too late.

two things:
one you forgot the golden age in between 1.4 and a different version when there was no clubs(and i joined:) version 1.975 if i'm not mistaken)
and you also forgot the dissolving of DFC into Acc, at least i think that's what happened
Dfc was created by nightflyer and me as masterflyer

@ Elfman - Thanks for doing this. Very cool.

If the site has an archive history category, mods could move historically relevant posts there to keep them out of the way of the regular forum. We could find the old club posts (now hidden), unhide them and place them there.

Ender, this, like many other OLD posts, was bumped because 'mushyninja' can't resist the urge to comment on old posts instead of new. Frequently, he will comment somewhere in the middle of the post. So that's why it got bammed.
