i don't think size matters to much on something made on SketchUp then imported in to unity, as long as it has a low poly count it will be fine lag wise

well i gave Fai 1/4 as you can copy and paste, so in turn you could say i gave him half of the Space Station, while i keep half(i.e 1/4 copied and pasted to face the right way so it makes a half) and time wise i only work on things like this for a few hours at a time, on any given day

and to see what i can make in just a few days time spending only a few hours(2-3) per each day go to this link

also feel free to use any of the other models i put up there, as one of them is an outside to a spaceship, and nothing is in it

ok this is a picture of part of the power room in the space station

that blue window is half of the entrance for any of the many space vehicles

and to help you out Fai the thickness of the roof above this room(which is also the second level) is 0.41 meters, and from the base of the roof to the ground is 0.227 meters

the landing that leads to the blue window is raised above the second level, just to clear that up

That gave me an idea. What about a lab? Space propel need to conduct all types of experiments, from tech to chem and even bio.

This would be hard (sorry seb) but worth it. Like a mini island with vegetation, trees and some water in a perfect circle around (so as to feed the vegetation, but still look lke it was arranged by man). It would be what supplies the station with Oxygen.

Hard, but epic. Unless you imported from unity island, but I don't know how legal that is.

Here's an idea: You know how the sky king has ventilation systems on each of its floors? Well, maybe the Sky Station (that's what the hip people will call it now) can have ventilation shafts running all over the station, so that we could drive through them get to other floors quickly and other cool stuff like that?

This is how I pictured it.

Cube room, large circumfranced 3 decimeter high cylinder, about double that length inward another wall, creating a circular trench filled with water. Inside then but staring at the top of the inner wall is land, but clearly land made, with vegetation.

I hope I was descriptive enough. If not, I suppose it's not my project anyway, unless you wanted me to make a basic render of what I meant. At any rate, it feels good to be considered.

It seems a bit small, just from what I have seen.

I pictured a space station being AT LEAST the size of the sky king, realy closer to 1.5 - 2 times the size

The current shape does not support multiple rooms, other than in the center.

It is great looking, and please keep it that way, but I suggest multiple rooms anywhere possible, even in those circular areas.

Could you make some sort of giant chamber w/ different blocks just floating inside it and rooms around it to hide in? I'm asking this because despite the amazing craft you put into these worlds there isn't much space for real, normal dogfighting. Anyway, if you have space I think this room would be relatively easy, almost like a block world.

Hey hey! Well, due to recent lack of inspiration, there was no work done. BUT NO LONGER! Story time!

Ok, so I was talking to Seb while he rearranged his room. And We talked about not having any ideas, so we.. brainstormed! Heres what we came up with, Or what I and him came up with:

Medlab: Medical Facility, even though you cant be injured on Mars. :P
Geolab: Mining/Earth research facility, lots of rocks and stuff.
Biolab: Research mostly, ya know.
Techlab: Technology Center, keeps station online. Dont shoot the monitors please.
Bridge: Control place
Engine Room: Where da engine would be...
Ecolab: Plant based research, kind of a greenhouse. Exotic plants and such.
Rooms: Based on the circular places, people can request "rooms". Respected (old) players get designated suites, with names on them. (Pm me for more info)

If anyone has any other ideas that would be great. Seb is mad cause he cant work on it right now so Im rubbing it in.

Also, I think there should be a hangar inside the station where all the buggies are stored, like where they're not in use, ya know? The hangar should also include the jets, tanks and hovercrafts, but not as many.

I see my ecolab idea pulled through :) I must say I'm excited, just wish I were old enough to get a suite lol.

Here's another suggestion: Perhaps a trophy room? There would be plaques on the wall with honerable mentions to people like Aubrey, and perhaps also a small list of those who have contributed eventually implemented ideas to the station.

Space can get pretty boring at times, having to entertain yourself all the time. Why not a theatre, with extra-comfy seats, a full lighting/sound system, wings, and everything?

Not to mention, it would be entertaining to watch buggies try to put on a show.

i never said i would get rid of the stuff i did inside now did i, i am keen to reshape it anyway, this one had way too much empty space for me and Fai to fill anyway, i mean 8 massive rings that needed to be filled, what were we thinking

i still have the file, i can clear out my bit of the work and give you a blender file of it, the only thing is that at the current size it is just too big, as it has way too much empty space to fill, and thats the only problem

No, just making sure.

At any rate, as far as the blend file goes, I would probably prefer the new one then (if you're willing). I'm not technically supposed to be on the computer until this summer :( but that doesn't mean I don't. And I'd be surprised if it were done by this summer.

Are there private suites like the older one? If so may I PLZ have one?

I can trade you ideas for a room.

Maybe a little greenhouse for keeping exotic Mars plants.

A security room with monitors with maybe some pics of buggys as a texture.

Maybe a map of the place thats a holo gram:

Maybe a trophy room with awards dedicated to some people like to Aubrey if he implements it, or to people who gave you ideas a such (like me, make it very shiny :D).

ok, the old space station, just had too much free space in it, even if two people are working on it, so no i won't bring back the old one fore quite some time, in not at all

there was never a air duct system in place for the Sky King, i just didn't get around to making the fan's for the wind tunnel testing room

and as to the private room's i am not sure if i will add them just yet

once i start to fill up the new one with the ideas from the old one, i will see what space is left, for any new ideas
