1945 Beck Mainliner.
Air brakes, smooth running 6 cyl 500+- cu in International engine, custom RV windows, integrated radiant heating, and no interior - so I get to start from scratch. This is going to be an awesome mobile workstation :)

Legend has it that this bus was produced in a special group along with 19 others for high class transport of homecoming WWII soldiers.

Well that should be interesting to restore, plus a challenge.
How did you happen to come upon this bus anyhow?

Local Craigslist posting. It was over an hour and a half from my home, but it sure was a blast to get it here!

Runs great, and cruised @ 60 mph nearly the whole way.

Please keep this thread updated on the restoration process, I'm quite intrigued to see how this ole' bus transforms.

Seems like the interior needs a lot of work, I would suggest sand-blasting as your first option.

lol. I can see it now - if you don't like where your office is located, you just move it;)  Quite handy.
I still think the white triangle shape down the front looks like a nose...gives it character:p  And I love the fin on the back:)
Are you going to keep it the same exterior color?  And are you going to raise the roof?
I can hardly wait to see what it looks like after you're through restoring it!
