I just want to praise and thank the Lord for giving us the ability to laugh.

Can you imagine what our lives would be like without laughter?   I shudder when I think about it.   What a dark, empty, boring, dreary world it would be.  Simply put, it would be horrible.

Proverbs 17:22 says, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

You know what?  Laughter (a merry heart) really does doeth good like a medicine...

The other day I had a horrible sinus headache that just wouldn't go away no matter what I tried.  On top of that, it was the last day of filming for Rathdrum Willie, and ALL of the boys were over.  It was a mad house.  They were filming the final chase/fight scene so they were making a ton of noise.  I couldn't find anywhere to get away from all of the banging, crashing, and yelling, so I curled up on the couch in our living room, prepared to be a martyr for the rest of the day.

Thanks to the mad scientist and his two henchmen (Brett, Matthew, and Matthew C.), I didn't have to spend the rest of the day with a pounding pain in my head.   I can't tell you what it was that made me laugh because that would be giving away part of the plot, but it was so funny I just had to laugh, headache and all.  I laughed so hard, I cried, and by the time I was done laughing, my headache was completely gone.

Sounds unbelievable, but I've experience the same cure several times when I've had a headache, although it doesn't work 100% of the time.  You can even ask Mrs. A - she'll back me up on this.  (not from personal experience, but she's seen it happen to me before)

I don't have any proof, but I think it's because when we laugh it relieves tension all over our body.  Whatever the scientific reason, I'm so glad that God created us with the ability to laugh our headaches away:)

So, next time you have a headache, try finding something to laugh at.  Can't hurt, and it might help:)

P.S. In case you're having trouble finding something to laugh at...

I can't believe I'm actually posting this, but, well, here it is...

Amen! Laughter is a really wonderful thing.  Brett is really good at making people laugh though. I don't know how he does it, but he can drive me absalutely crazy and I wish he would just get lost until he says or does something funny and I laugh instead of ringing his neck off like I planned too :).

P.S.  Now we know that Rathdrum Willie can cure headaches :).

Alex does the same thing!  He'll drive me up the wall until I'm ready to do him bodily harm, and then he'll say something really funny, and I just have to laugh:)  Really, what would we do without our funny brothers?  Life would be quite boring...

P.S. lol. We'll have to advertise it as a cure for headaches;)

I love this! What a neat thing to think about - and God really did give us laughter. Doesn't Proverbs (or Psalms...I can't remember which) say that laughter does good like medicine?!

Cute picture =D

He sure did:)

I think it's Proverbs 17:22, which is the verse I used, only the KJV (the version I use) reads "a merry heart" and, I think, the NKJV (or some other translation) reads "laughter".

=) Thanks (=  If Kellie will let me, I'll have to post some really funny ones we got of ourselves.  Bad case of midnight sillies...

Hee! That picture made me chuckle.

Add Peter to your list of Funny Brothers--he just has a knack of saying something so completely random that he'll have Mom and me in stitches at times! Like last night when we were watching Willy Wonka--you know the part where Mr. Slugworth tries to bribe Charlie to steal an Everlasting Gobstopper? Well, Bro pipes up with this out of left field quote:

"We've been watching too many murder mysteries. I found myself thinking, 'He'll be dead soon'!" (Mr. Slugworth, that is.) LOL!

God bless, and thanks for the laugh,
~"Wild Rose"~

I think your brother and my brother would get along together really well. :)
Is that the old version of Willy Wonka, or the new one?  We love the old one:)

lol.  You're welcome;D
