Sarah Jo (aka Jo Bug) and me in the church at Jamestown - Hey, I had glasses then!  I forgot:)
Just the girls - Faye, Sarah Jo, Abbie (aka Cuz;), a tour guide, me, and Gabby (Abbie's best friend, and sister to Sam, Faye's fiance)
The gang in front of the statue of Captain John Smith, minus Uncle Tom and Aunt Donna - Sam, Ken (aka The Jr. Savage), Mom, Sarah Jo, Faye, Abbie, Gabby, me, Alex (aka The Chief - this is were he got his famous nickname, folks:), Dad, and Ivan (aka The Native)
Oops!  Ken, ya alright down there?!  Hehe, joking;)
Boys and guns.
Under the Magna Charta Tree - a tree with special si'nifigance to Jamestown 400 sleuths.
You can read about our Jamestown 400 experience here, here, and here.
D.O.G. St. in Williamsburg - another spot of interest for Jamestown sleuths.
Walking down DOG St. - actually, we were posing for the picture, so we weren't really walking...and you can tell;)  I look quite strange...but what's new?=)
~Fun at the house~
The Chief teaches the Native how to wash dishes;)
My sweet cousin- I love this picture of you, Cuz:)
The green stuff is actually the water - it has peat moss or something growing on top, and it looks kind of like we're sitting on a grassy lawn, especially with the trees growing out of it:)
The girls - Gabby, me, and Abbie
A beaver - we were about 3 feet away from him
The three explorers - Ivan, Ken, and Alex
We landed on a small island for exploration...
Pretty pinky, purple-ish berries - I've since learned that they're called Beauty Berries, if I'm remembering that correctly...
Daniel Boone finds a frog
Off for more adventure
Wherein the natives land on a desert island...apparently they were there for a while, check out Ivan's "beard" and Ken's "mustache";)
"When I first came here, I was 16 years old..." (stole your line, Cuz;)
Wherein the Native is marooned by the Chief and the Jr. Savage
"Come back, Chief!" ;)
Wherein Aunt Donna attempts to win a race by trickery - she told Alex that the dock was in one direction, when it was really in the opposite direction...Alex was not fooled.  Nice try, Aunt Donna;)
Ken says they won because they had his flag:)
I think I'll post the rest of our pictures from the best vacation ever in my next Memory Lane post, which will (hopefully) be next Wednesday.
Happy Trails, folks!

Hello, Natasha!
I've been enjoying your blog. :)
I looks like your family had a lovely vacation.
Ah yes...The pictures pf the Magna Charta tree, and DOG street brought back memories for us. ;)
Did y'all participate in the JT400 treasure hunt? And did you attend the celebration?

Yes--Those lovely berries were beauty berries. They make a lovely jelly.

In Christ,
Sarah Discher

So nice to "see" you, Sarah!
I'm so glad you've been enjoying my blog:)
It was a very fun vacation - I hadn't seen my cousins for over 7 years, so it was really nice to see them again=)
Yes, we did participate in the JT400, but, unfortunately, we submitted the last answer in Phase 2 about 1 minute too late, so we didn't end up going to the Jamestown celebration.
It was really fun to see some of the key historical sites from the hunt when we visited Jamestown in '08!  I especially wanted to walk up and down DOG street several times, just to get the feel of what it was like;)
They're aptly named "beauty berries" - I love that color of purple:)
