Notice my hair, Kellie?  Yep, crown braids;)
One fulfilled dream...

What?  What?!?

I see no helmet!

Where is your helmet!?!

Heretic!  infidel!

=)

Well, now.  So you rode a horse, a horse, without a helmet.  Without a helmet.

I'll just let that sink in for awhile.

Wow. O.K, now then.

So, presumably, you were not thrown off a cliff or stomped into a grease spot or sent flying through Utah air at a high rate of speed... how did this happen? Pray tell!

I'm glad you got to experience the inherent joy of being on horseback with crown braids in place of a bulky, ugly, awful helmet.

They have their place, mind you... but just the same, as in everything, there is a balance.

P.S. That looks like so much fun!  And a Paint, too!  Oh, I want to do that someday... only, if I could choose, I would rent a Friesian and canter in the surf in a flowing white dress, barefoot, with my hair flying free... sigh.

Oh, and I wouldn't take any trail guide along...;)

Good night!

Yes, trail guides do get in the way a bit...there were a couple of spots where I could have had a delicious canter, but...oh well:)

Guilty as charged;)

Ahem, in my defence, they didn't have any helmets, so naturally, I couldn't wear one=D
It felt quite strange, and actually rather...sinful?! riding without a helmet, but that wore off after a while:)

Yes, I am still all in one piece - I did not fall off a cliff, or get stomped into a grease spot (where did that come from?;), or go flying through the Utah air at a high rate of speed, thankfully, although the thought did cross my mind...:)

Yep, a paint:)  The poor old grouchy boy wasn't really the type to send anyone off a cliff - he was a darling, even if he was a grouch:)  The poor boy has cancer in his intestines, like Marian's horse Doc that I used to ride, so that's why he's so grouchy.  I can excuse his grouchiness because he was lovely in every other way - very sensitive to the reins, and a very nice "feel" to him.  It was the next best thing to riding Bob.

P.S. Now that would be fun:)  If you ever find a place that does that, let me know=)
