Long, long ago, in a country far, far away...
Oh, wait...
I mean...
Once upon a time, when the boys were very into knights and armour, a royal tournament was held at the castle of Sir Alex.
Ye knights who attended: Sir Matthew C., Sir Tim, Sir Christopher, Sir Alex, Squire Matthew A., and Sir Aubrey.
Ye fair ladies, Lady Ellen, Lady Kellie, Lady Lilly, Lady Natasha, and Misty, the royal guard dog.
Squire Matthew assists Sir Alex with his armour.
Excitement mounts as the knights enter the lists...
Sir Alexander and Sir Christopher begin their battle by...making faces at each other?  (Notice Sir Christopher's tongue?;)
"No dear, I don't think they're likely to kill each other...at least, not by making faces at each other..."
Back to their tents to repair their arms...their weapons, that is.  No one lost a limb, as far as I know.
Sir Aubrey and Sir Alex engage in battle...
They close in on each other...
It was a fierce battle, but in the end...
Who won anyway?!
I don't think anyone really won, but Sir Alex came away with a nasty cut, I mean, wound, on his nose from a "battle axe"!
After a sumptuous feast, all of our brave knights went home tired, bruised, and happy.
And so the story ends...
~The End~

Lauren ~ I know, we're so old now! lol;)
I think I was 13 there, so that would make Kellie and Alex 10, Aubrey 12, Christopher about 10 or 9, Matthew Conner about the same age, Timmy around that age too.  Peppy would have been, let's see...6?  So Ellen would have been a year younger than him, so 5 , Lilly would have been 2, and Tilda was just a baby.  Clara wasn't even born then!
My, how the time flies!:)
We've kind of lost contact with the Sebrechts, and I didn't know that Bethany got married:)
Michelle ~  It was a lot of fun:)  I think we had a wild game of...well, everyone chasing everyone around afterwards with swords and battle axes;)  That's when Alex got his "wound".
Oh yes, that's Christopher alright;)
See you two on Sunday!=)
P.S. Did you figure out a costume, Lauren?  I think I've got something figured out...I think;)

Hilarious! My, how the year's fly. I'm pretty sure that if you stacked these little Alex and Aubrey's on top of each other, they'd be the same height as each is now. Crazy!

I think you should make "Memory Lane" posts a regular thing around here... :)

lol.  You're probably right!  It would be interesting to calculate how tall they were then, and then double it:)  I'm too lazy to do that though...;)
I was actually thinking the same thing:)  I might make it a once a week thing...
