I suddenly realized that I had never posted pictures of Sam's birthday (!!), and I hadn't finished posting pictures from the Acorns visit!!!
It is rare indeed when I don't post pictures the day of the event, or at least the day after - I've been known to post, or email pictures to people, while they are still going down our driveway:)
Anyway, here's the belated post of pictures from little Sammy boy's first birthday...
Of course there never was such a baby boy, and there never will be such a baby boy again. Sam was a very good sport at his birthday party. I don't know if I could have handled it as well as he did - two sets of relatives, going ga ga over him.
Present time! Sam wasn't quite sure what to think of all of his new toys:)
We gave him a John Deere lawn mower push toy.
I think all baby toys are made with one of two goals in mind - 1) to drive the parents crazy (beeping, music, etc.), or 2) for the parents, or sitters, to play with. I always had fun in the church nursery with the baby toys:)
Grandma's girl - I had the best seat in the house, even though that arm of that sofa got a little hard after a while. I love my grandma very, very much, and I don't see her half enough now that we live so far from her.
Sammy boy got his own cake - a "mash" cake:)
He wasn't quite sure what to do with his cake at first...

...but he soon got the idea:)
Aww, the little cutie.
All of his adoring relations looked on with rapture as he demolished his cake.
Actually, we were hoping he's save some for us...
Haha, not. There was a separate cake for the rest of us:)
At last, Grandma has our dear little boy. (You see what I mean about people besides the baby enjoying the baby toys...Parker apparently found that one quite fascinating...and you should have seen Hailey and I playing with his other new toys..;)
There were so many relatives there, and we all love him so, that it was hard to get a chance to hold him. I got to hold him once=)
Happy Trails, folks!
