I thought it would be amusing to hand out some virtual awards in recognition of the most spectacularly faceplam-worthy antics from our resident/pet creationists. Of course, since most of them seem to have adopted the Monty Python strategy ("run away, run away!"), they won't be around to accept their awards - but as we say in English, "c'est la vie."

 

I'll go through and add links later on - if you can think of any that I missed, let me know and I'll add them.

 

 

The "Tinfoil Hat" award goes to: bigdog for his paranoid conviction that every non-creationist here is a sock-puppet of someone else.

 

The "Non-sequitur Comeback" award goes to: brothertrucker for his "Oh yeah, well I can field-strip an M16" retort.

 

The "Internet Tough Guy" award goes to: bigdog and 9tails for attempting to challenge other posters to a fist fight.

 

The "Self-Righteous Hypocrite" award goes to: bigdog, for his little hissy fit when the hypocrisy of Christian attitudes towards birth control & opposition to abortion was pointed out to him.

 

The "MEEEEE TWOOOOO" award goes to: ronnie l.a. for actually supporting bigdog's false accusation of pedophilia.

 

The "Ted Haggard" award goes to: bigdog, for his bizarre obsession with the sexuality of other posters.

 

The "Unintentional Irony" award goes to: 9tails, for claiming that WikiPedia is hopelessly-biased - and then posting a ConservaPedia link as "proof."

 

The "Post-and-Run" award goes to: 9tails, for his habit of frequently posting long-winded tirades, while failing to address any of the replies that point out the massive flaws in his reasoning.

 

The "Unable to Distinguish between Evolution & Scientology" award goes to: 9tails, for his frequently-repeated claim that "evolutionists" believe the universe is trillions of years old.

 

The "Does not compute" award goes to: 9tails, bigdog, and brothertrucker, for their claim that scientists are biased against Christianity - and their contradictory claim that the majority of scientists believe in God.

 

And, finally, the "Pathological Liar for Jesus" award goes to: bigdog, for falsely-accusing another poster of being a pedophile.
