Darwin called himself the Devils Chaplin. He also called himself the Devils Bishop. Which description was accurate or was he evolving?

Let me get this straight: in another thread, you were bragging about your university education - yet youv'e never encountered the term "Devil's advocate"?

Or are you just being deliberately dishonest?

(don't worry, I expect you'll dodge the question as usual)

Neither just quoting Charlie form your own opinions. Charlie always refused to be classed with athiests by the way. He usually referred to himself as Christian, agnostic in the later years. As a matter of fact guess who coined the phrase? Actually I think Charlie made these statements with tongue firmly in cheek. Just figured Id throw them out.

and you DO know the entire historical context in which the darwin lived, don't you? even IF he was an atheist he would NEVER write that on paper. in that time, that would be a social death sentence.

If you're going to quotemine, you might want to actually, you know, provide the quote.

And what exactly does that have to do with the price of tea in China?
