Psalm 14:1-3

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none that does good. The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any that act wisely, that seek after God. They have all gone astray, they are all alike corrupt; there is none that does good, no, not one.

(Interesting article says athiest declares there day as April 1st)

Praise the Lord! You’ve converted me! From now on, I will throw away the all the science I know and talk to an invisible man in the clouds!

...April Fools! Hmm, that quote is a bit harsh, don’t you think?

“They have all gone astray, they are all alike corrupt; there is none that does good, no, not one.”

Not a single one? Really? I have been known, on occasion, to cover my atheist horns and fire-breathing atheist snout. I trim my big atheist claws and brush my huge atheist fangs and go out into the world and act like a nice, normal human being. I hold the door open for people. I write letters to my grandma. If someone asks me for help, I stop and help them. I participate in fundraisers for charity. When I owe someone money, I pay them back. I’m not Mother Teresa, but I’m not exactly “corrupt” either.

I'm a bit more fond of this quote:

"The most preposterous notion that H. sapiens has ever dreamed up is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of all the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of His creatures, can be swayed by their prayers, and becomes petulant if He does not receive this flattery. Yet this absurd fantasy, without a shred of evidence to bolster it, pays all the expenses of the oldest, largest, and least productive industry in all history."
— Robert A. Heinlein

Even Einstein believed in a Creator GOD. He was Jewish. He just didn't believe in religion.

Even Einstein believed in a Creator GOD. He was Jewish. He just didn't believe in religion.

Einstein also "believed in" marrying his first cousin, but that doesn't make it a good idea.

He may have been one of the most brilliant mathematicians / physicists who ever lived, but that doesn't make him any sort of sacred authority on all topics.

Even within his area of expertise, there were things that he got wrong - he was stubbornly opposed to the very idea of the Uncertainty Principle. And, coincidentally, his opposition was essentially on religious grounds ("God does not play dice.") - making it rather ironic that you would invoke his name in support of a belief in God.

That said, the Robert Heinlein quote isn't necessarily criticizing belief in God. It's pointing out the absurdity of believing that a being capable of creating an entire universe would would have the personality of a petulant, neurotic child ("worship me or I'll hold my breath until my face turns blue!").

Yup. Which is just further evidence of my point, which I see you conveniently ignored the bulk of. If someone is skilled in a particular scientific field, that doesn't automatically make them some sort of expert/authority on everything.

Perhaps that's because, when you use phrases like "Charlies inbred children," it sound like you're just resorting to the "red herring" tactic at best, and lazy ad-homimen at worst.

If you want to be taken seriously, address the man's idea. Don't just look for ways to disparage the man, as an obvious excuse to avoid addressing his ideas.

The first part of your quote is legit but he lost it.

So point out where or how he lost it (waiting....).

Just saying "he lost it" wouldn't pass muster even in a high school English paper, much less adult debate.
