According to Wikipedia, MISTER Hovind is due to be released in August 2015 - just over a year from now. And, honestly, I can't wait. I don't know what I'm looking forward to more: the return of the most entertaining/easiest-to-mock advocate of creationism, or the inevitable Godfather-esque power struggle between Kent and Eric "Fredo" Hovind for control of CSE.

It's gonna be great!

I've been gone long enough to get a bachelor in biology and more and I suddenly felt the urge to look at this site again. Gald i did, or i wouldn't have been reminded that Hovind will be free soon. I wonder if he found science while in there.

Hey, congrats!

It looks like I may have spoken too soon. From what I could find, he tried to pull some silly legal stunt (on the advice of another inmate at his prison), which resulted in him being convicted of criminal contempt of court. He's due to be sentenced for that in June - and he's due to stand trial AGAIN later this month, on charges of mail fraud.

So it looks like he won't be seeing the outside of a prison for a few more years, after all. A shame too - I was really looking forward to the Eric Vs. Kent power-struggle. I'm surprised that Hovind Sr. hasn't already been denouncing his son for dropping the "New World Order" conspiracy theories & thinly-veiled anti-semitism.

I wonder if he found science while in there.

Ha! Looks like he'll have a few more years to work at it, if not.
