Thank you, i will try and change the texturing what do you think would look better? i plan on updating it so it looks a little better. and i use cheetah 3D and im 13 ile try to make it so people can atualy fly it like the micro drone.
Wow, amazing work, again. I must say! Also, is that model rigged? And I'm 14, and you have great work! I 3D model but I can't FOR THE LIFE OF ME model a vehicle like that, with such high poly. Mind posting more pics, including one with the polys, such as a wireframe render. You know what that is, right? Good work! Keep it up!
I looked up and figured out what you mean by wireframe and be sure to post pictures if the wireframe and no it's not animating but I want to animate it but I'm not sure how to post videos but ile look into it
Like the object can be moved through a set of rigs, or almost like muscles. You just create the rig, add it to the object, and things will move, like the tail, or the flaps! It's amazing. A wireframe is basically this: This is one of my previous models of a gun that I uploaded onto the interwebs :)
What it will tell me is how many poly's there are, which is related to the lag in a game. See, in a game like Mars, this many poly's on a gun would be considered "high poly" and would be rendered very nice but a tad laggy, unless you have a good speed on your computer, which a 3D modeler should :)
oh ya i see what you mean ile do more pictures of it and ile do some videos but im not sure how to post videos thats an awesome gone to i created a kel tec shotgun once but it wasnt nearly as good as that.
Kia didn't make these designs. The gun was my model, and the plane was Fire's model. Doing that would use a lot of programming. As someone who meddled with programming for awhile and has the source code for the game, it takes a LOT of work. Programming and 3D modeling are not magic, and we don't press buttons and WHAM! It is there. It takes math, and words. We would love to add new vehicles, but lots of developers have left. Besides, the model posted here is VERY high poly, so it would lag out the game if we even tried to play this in a level.
Sadly svens right, it's not easy to program stuff like this. But sometime the WHAM does occur but it's usually me hitting something in frustration hahaha! It is also a lot of polys but that could be reduced if I had some time. So maybe ill do that. Anyways thanks a lot.
"Stuff like this" isn't difficult to program, at all, but the EASIEST route is to cannibalise from Mars. No offense to GTR but he's hardly an expert at programming, but he made the microdrone fly, and that was via the Mars code.
You might want to take a look at the old Whirld packages, I think Whirld 3 included the Jet code. Or the new ones might work too.
Or you could learn to program! And learn what is involved in making a good game. And read Aubrey's code AFTER learning to program, it's not for the faint of heart.
