I hope to bring people back to Mars

Why did all of you leave? Is it because of bullies? Is it because of lack of development? Is it because Mars is dying anyway, so you decided to not see it through?
Let me address the first one. If you left because of bullies, then I see this as running away from your problems. This is the internet, people! You don't even have to read messages sent from bullies! You can block them completley! If the bully was your friend, make new friends! There are new players all over the place.
Next. It seems to me that there was a lack of development BECAUSE people were leaving, and therefore a lack of interest. Not, as was widely thought, a lack fo trying. Terrium was the best solution for that and what did you do? You bullied Eric! So leaving for lack of development is rediculous.
If you left because Mars was dying, then you are the reason that Mars is dying. Just because a couple of your friends didn't get on regularly any more, doesn't mean you should give up on such an amazing game! As I said before, make new friends!
This game doesn't HAVE to die! Most of the old players seem determind to make it die. I don't understand that kind of thinking. Yes, it gets old every once in a while. That's why we have TTFN! To keep people on their toes! Don't leave for some arbitrary reason. I realize that some people left the game for better things, like RL or War Thunder. I get that. But, the rest of you need to stick around for the game to stay alive. Don't let Mars die!!!

I'm on a hiatus, going through personal life crap. I'm not gone, just trying to deal with life atm.

I think people are leaving through a combination of personal crap, lack of development, the community rotting, life getting busier, and maturing emotionally.

Yeah, I addressed all of that. Did you read it, or skim through?

I play as much as I can, except I play less and less since life is getting horrible again. *coughhighschoolstuffdramacoughcoughedycough*

Anyway, yeah I agree, we do need to stay on Mars, except some people cannot do such a thing. Some people HAVE to move on. Yet, the few of us left, we've gotta do something about the game.

I agree with sv3n, we need to keep this game alive as much as possible and yeah life hits us at some point and yeah some of us have to leave even if its not our idea of choice. Those of us who can stay though we should do something and it is a bummer that we've lost so many good players. I wish them all the best of luck and am in high hopes that they someday come back to check on the community, they will be missed very dearly. I havnt been on for awhile because of school, summer is usually the time that i play games and i think it may be the same for the players here on mars unless they work. I say we carry on and do everything we can to keep this game alive, maybe even stay in touch with old players that have recently left or bring our irl friends to play mars, lets build back what we've lost on mars and bring back this once loving game.

(not all of this is me talking, another player helped me word this and asked me to say this since they are currently unable to answer)

That's what I said! Read the document all the way through before you answer, guys. :)
I said: Don't leave for some ARBITRARY reason. That doesn't include legitimate claims for leaving like RL getting busy (Which I addressed). Just read the whole thing.

WOW your so right running away from mars is just like being a coward! So we should stay till mars turns to ashes or we do! So that when people look back on mars they can say "wow they really did it! They kept mars going!"

I totally agree with Loki, although Loki, some people either A, just have to move on in life, or B, they have discovered that there are actaully better games in the world, I LOVE mars, but be honest, if someone starts playing Halo 4 Call of Duty Ghosts etc... they are totally gonna play that over this and just plain ditch this, so for most of the people leaving... i dont blaim them, but for the other (whatever) % of people, yes, they needa stick around, this is an amazing game, and i think we should keep it alive.

This is an amazing thing for you to post. It may inspire other players to return to the game.

I kinda think that mars has come to a new age... Yeah many people have left but some people have joined too. We are just shuffling around the 'regulars'. I think that it is up to this 'newer generation' of players to plan the future of this game. Don't rely so heavily on the older players. I mean sure if they can help it would be great but..... yeah...

I know personally the reasons I left Mars were:
1. Personal life (aka high school/college, girlfriend, etc.)
2. Lost interest.  Kinda sucks but I moved on to other games.
3. Community dying and development stopped.  I know you addressed this in the post, but honestly, from what I've seen work on Mars Explorer and Syn3h have stopped and Aubrey's seemed to disappear.  I mean that's alright, the guy's probably moved onto better things and I'm glad for him.

So yeah, from a veteran Mars-er (can I call myself veteran?  I mean I guess I can, I started playing this thing in middle school and now I'm in college O.o), that's why I personally don't hang around, and I'm sure that those reasons are pretty common.  Heck, today was the first time I even thought about Mars Explorer in a long time and that's cause I saw it sitting in my apps and wondered if Syn3h was still being worked on, hahaha.

I am very sad about this community dissolving over the past year. About 2 years ago, we would have 50 players online at a time, it was a blast! Before the games got stuck on the list, we had 25 people on at a time. I am scared for the future of this game. I hope the day where nobody is online and it is forgotten never comes.
