The obligatory rules of this forum; read before posting–you have been warned!

Global Forum Rules:

Introduction:

The forum staff reserve the right to interpret and enforce the rules at their own discretion.

Punishment:

      1. If a post contains minor infractions upon the rules, the moderators will issue a warning.

      2. If a user repeatedly breaks the posting rules, the infringing posts may be removed without notice.

      3. If a post seriously breaks the above set of rules, it will be removed without notice, and the responsible user may be banned.

Rule 1: All posts must be typed in English with the niceties of spelling and grammar. Perfection is not necessary. Rather, make sure you write intelligibly and with care. (Tips: Use spell check and reread what you typed at least a couple times.)

Rule 2: No posts without merit, lacking content, with profanity, advertisement, solicitation, personal agendas, offensive/inappropriate material, or malicious intent. Avoid writing posts containing strong or hurtful language.

Rule 3: Posts must have relevant links and titles. Thread titles and content must be descriptive and specific. This is to prevent spam, confusion, and inconvenience. (e.g. Generic titles like, “Help please,” “Tutorial Request,” and, “I’m New” are not allowed.)

Rule 4: Each person is restricted to possessing one forum account. Send a PM to a moderator or administrator if you need an exception (e.g. switching accounts).

Rule 5: When reporting people or a problem, please take pictures and provide the evidence via PM to a moderator. Do not make it public.

Forum Etiquette:

1. Want to ask a question? First, read the FAQ before posting. Then, search (upper right hand corner of this page) for keywords related to your question to find if it has been answered before. Try to post questions in the questions and responses thread. If the question is complex and merits discussion, make an individual post.

2. Want to talk about a bug or glitch? First, Report a Bug to Aubrey, Aubrey (admin), before posting about it. If you need additional help or would like to share your discovery, go ahead and post!

3. Have an idea or suggestion? Go ahead and make a post in the Feature Requests category, provided there is enough content to justify an individual post.

4Flaming is not tolerated. We respect each other and other communities. There is to be no fighting on the forum.

5Reviving old and irrelevant posts (dubbed “grave digging”) will result in said posts being promptly resolved. If a post is important to the forum but 'dead,' it will not qualify as irrelevant, and thus will remain active.

6Do not feed the trolls. Ignore them, and let a mod handle the situation. (Same rule applies with spam.)

7Credit people for their work when posting links, pictures, etc. Never accredit yourself with someone else’s work, and do not create similar or duplicate threads.

Lastly...
...and most importantly...

HAVE FUN!

(This is an outline and first draft of the global forum rules. Please share your questions, comments, and concerns!)

Eric,

Although I love those new rules, permabanning is impossible without Aubrey, correct? Therefor, how will frequent spammers be banned, especially if their ip is routed through a different city (therefor different ip than their real one).

Well said, Stryker. Your suggestion is being seriously considered for a new forum.

"2. Want to talk about a bug or glitch? First, Report a Bug to Aubrey, Aubrey (admin), before posting about it. If you need additional help or would like to share your discovery, go ahead and post!"

I'm sure that aubrey would gladly fix the bug/ glitch.~

Obviously people will immediatly skip that step. However, I will PM him the bug simutaneously posting about it if it would make you feel better.

Oh and I just want to point out that my recent comments aren't "flames" but mearly comments pointing out peoples' idiocy.

@panzer: you can just hide everything that the permabanned makes.

Ah! GREAT! I love these kinda new rules! :D Apart from the English language one. I mean. Don't we want to encourage people from across the globe to join the community?I mean. If Aubrey and all of you guys were French, I am terrible at it! Lol. I can say a few words, but none that would be relevant on a game. Maybe there could be an auto-spell changer to English? Like Google translate but it always does it to English? And if you spoke a different language, you could set it to your language, and it would translate English back to your language? Well apart from that I very much agreee that the forum has to become stricter.

Nice post, and I largely agree with it.

However, in regards to rule 4, does this restrict us to one account only, consequences if we use a different one, or only one for use on the forums?
Are we to be punished for past infractions in regards to this rule, or only present/future ones?

Greetings everyone!

@Panzer

If I told you, I'd have to kill you O_O But seriously, Flynn, ThePancakes, and I have some tricks up our sleeves, and if all else fails, we can hide absolutely everything someone posts as a ban.

@Etah

Hover your mouse over "My Settings" next to your Messages ;)

@Ender

You are only allowed to create and use on account, unless you have a special exception. Rule enforcement began with the advent of this new rules thread.

Cheers!

I have a problem with rule 3. I think "Tutorial Request" is OK, all of the others are not.

I am now confused to why you agreed to leave the queen post up. Why not make someone post it in a non-puppet account.

Selective bias is a perk that comes with being a moderator. "The forum staff reserve the right to interpret and enforce the rules at their own discretion."

We'll I can't same that I'm not....... Disapointed but the rules sound okay but you don't have the power to do that do you? If you do then I respect that.
