The global ranking viewer was removed in the last version mainly because I didn't have enough time to integrate it nicely with the new UI. It will be available in the next version.

The title says it. I'm very interested in finding out who's ahead of me since I am now back up to #13. Is the ranking listed somewhere? If not, why not?

It will now be back in the next CC release. There, it will be accessible by clicking on your rank in the toolbar (a toggle button). I don't know if that version is out yet but it will be soon.
