I have a little idea to make the forum a little "less cramy"

Ok then,

First of all, thank you for slecting this post and hopefully reading it XD

Second, That I have seen, Posts and comments are put into this forum almost everyday. I sometimes find it hard to find what REALLY new, like five minutes ago, or REALLY old, like last year. So that is why I am proposing the idea of high lighting everything new to a user that checks the forum periodicaly. What I realized what CarbonTech was able to put on the left side of the home screen a "new to me" tab which I see every single day. Why cant he make it just a bit easier by making a newly added post or comment high lighted a light yellow-ish color. I hate it when you have a post with over 100 comments and you cant find the new one unless you read the entire thing.

(Yes, I know that most of the comments that are recent are at the bottem, but some are not, like in Apophis post about CarbonFest.)

Its just a little idea, so what do you carbonians think?

For that reason I have stopped following the CF post.  It takes forever to load and I am never sure if it is a post edit, a random comment edit or a new comment.

For posters, when you make an edit, please preface it with EDIT: that will help it stand out.  and if you can, perhaps change the color of the most recent one.

For commenters who edit their comments, do the same please.

Also, perhaps a JS or something Hyperlink that takes the new post or edit and puts it at the top of the screen for each one.  (Say one edit and 3 comments, each press takes the next one in line to the top, it is a chronologically ordered line)

My ideas, take em or leave em.

On the Content page, new posts (unread) appear with an asterisk by them. Posts that have been edited (edited, or new comment) have a plus by them. I always read every post, and most comments.

I look for "posted (date)." I find everything I haven't read yet. Then I read it.

*thinks*
How about a notification thingy whereas whenever someone comments on your post, replies to your comment, comments on a post that you are following, or comments on a thread that you commented on, it will say "Notification! Yay!"

Look at the bottom left of this picture.

Underneath the whole udicted2marvel stuff, you'll see a "Posted 17 hours ago." Use that to find new ones.

Oh... ok... BUT UR NOT GETTING THE POINT!!! XD :D

Ok,

A new comment was added, yes i know that there would be a new one because it shows up in "new to me." But sometimes, the new comment is in the middle of the 114 comments on the post. I dont want to know when, but where they are sometimes. which is why i suggested to make a light High-Light over a new comment like this:

(Picture under construction at the moment)

That shouldn't happen. After 100 comments, all comments are ordered in their order of posting, meaning comments are no longer threaded. All new comments from 101 and on should appear on the bottom.
