So, what if there was a nation where we, the followers of Christ could have as our own, kind of like how Israel is a Jewish state, but we had our own Christly state?

you'd have a commune.. a masive, socially liberal commune.

something most republicans would rather ignore.

So, here's some questions to speculate on if such a thing occured:

What language would we use, maybe Biblical Greek or Hebrew? This sounds like a way if it would end up coming from a multitude of languages to populate it.

A better question may be: Where exactly would be a good location?

"What language would we use"

whatever the local language is. Christianity isn't dependent on the language it's writtne in, but the meaning of the message.

"Where exactly would be a good location?"
anywhere you could throw down a church.

First of all. I would of never create such a thing. It is too much like a theocracy. What if some people believe differently? Like a satanist or a polytheist? Going to put them down just for IMOing? Bleh.

If a thing were to happen, and I nothing left to do, I would probably make it English, for it is the second spoken language on Earth.

Or even just someone from a different Christian denomination (see also: the Huguenots, the last few hundred years of Ireland's history, etc).

Actually, believe it or not, the USA was founded on Christianity.

Look how successful it was before the whole "Separation of Church and State" thing came about.

Just saying.

"Actually, believe it or not, the USA was founded on Christianity."

no, it was founded in principles reintroduced or coined in the enlightenment. Like the trias politica. something still in place in your country. or perhaps freedom of religion and freedom from state sponsered religion?

oh and before you swing it around to "christian principles".

Ephesians 6:5-9: "Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him."

or even better

However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you.  You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land.  You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance.  You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way.  (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

yes...wonderfull christian values. for a wonderfull christian nation.
