Pardon any of my spelling and grammer, and to any people that feel like this is a junk post feel free to express you feelings about it. 

 

I'm not the oldest player or the newest player, but some of these things might raise your skills in the Martin World. These are only my opinions and some other things that I have learned while playing. 

 

#1. Helping other players

When you see a new player join a game and ask for help, do your best to answer their questions if they have any. Try to help them understand the purpose of this game. Perhaps teach them some few driving or flying skills. It doesn't matter if your just an average player, you still know more than others. 

 

#2. Respect

Don't try to run people down all of the time. They are people just like you and me, and you may not know what they are going through. Mars is only a break from the real world. I doubt that people like to be insulted all of the time. 

 

#3. Playing Tips

Don't play hours after hours. Playing to much at once can get you frustrated, which can cause you to loose all the skill you just aquired. Once your done playing don't dwell on the outlook of the dogfight. Score doesn't matter, so don't pay attention to it. 

 

#4. Flying/Driving

Flying may be harder than driving. Flying allows you more agility to aviod lasers. Driving can bring your speed up and may be easier to snipe or shoot for you. Main thing is always change direction. Moving a single direction for a second or two may be an easy target for skilled snipers. Always change your direction. Try to be unpredictible. Make sudden turns and loops to throw off someones aim. Another thing that may work on others is try to copy their flying or driving tactics. To increase shooting accuracy, try to fly/drive in a way so instead of moving your mouse all the time to aim, fly in a way that causes your cross hairs to drift over your apponent. 

 

#5. Green Laser Accuracy

For getting better with the green lasers, go to a server with some newer players. Once you have obtained quarry, do NOT go all out on everyone else. With or without GyeRide, fly or drive in a strait line, and take single shots. Find out how much you need to lead other players. Then start to add some dogfighting motions and again take single shots. The quanity of lasers matters little, its the accuracy of them. This may take a few days, weeks, or months to master. Once you are able to hit these newer players with fairly easily you can start with the regular dogfighters. Before you start a dogfight, tell everyone that you are only working on your accuracy and technique. You may also find it easier to use bots for target practice, but bots do only one thing which is to constantly chase you. 

 

#6. Sniping Lasers

To achieve a higher skill of sniping use the same tactics that you used for your green lasers. Only this time it may be a good idea to ad some bots with no lasers and practice on them. Bots cannot fly which makes them harder to hit due to the fact they have no wings. After some practice turn the lasers on the bots. This will give you a much shorter period of time to take your shots while maintaning quarry. The rest is up to you.

 

#7. Commen Sence

4 words. "Don't be a noob". Noobs are almost never fun to play. If you shoot a player down, don't hammer the guts out of him or her. Let them get up and start shooting again. If you obtain quarry, don't pop in a jet and fly of the map either. 

 

#8. Watch and Learn. 

Try to learn something each time you play. Learning may not be constant dogfighting. Joing a server and observe other players stragies. 

 

 

This may be the last of the useless posts I have put up over the course of my Mars Career, so I hope its better than my previous ones.
