CT is known as Achilles there, he does not play Mars anymore. You will find Mars fun, with a great forum( ablutions under siege by hackers and trolling) but the best game, very close to CC.

He is rather respected there, as a great former player and dogfighters, not active there anymore.

CT has no control whatsoever over mars explorer. He is a respected player named achilles.

The "CT" of mars is a guy named Aubrey(admin)+ but he is....well inactive. It is a dead game, as in no more updates. The people in the mars forum is extreamly strict, including me. (I'm not as strict as on mars)

There are moderators there, most of them inactive or retired....err....I believe all of them are.

But the game is funner than CC. Less stressful and more...err...it's less stressful. However, beware of kruncher. lol He will krunch you.

Well, what can I say? I really don't see how the item rental system has "ruined" Carbon Combat in any way. The rental system merely provides an outlet for returning players to spend their credits, and rewards players who play regularly. Unless you don't play regularly, the rental system should have close to no effect on your gaming experience.

You can also look at it like this if you like; micro-transactions (buying credits/doing surveys for credits) are currently the only way I have to monetize this game. It's either this or making it only available to people who purchase a copy. Some might call me greedy, but know this: I've spent around a year independently developing Carbon Combat during my free time. It has always remained free and accessible to everyone – practically every penny made from advertising has gone into paying for the web-server and other licenses. If I do not find a viable means of increasing the gross revenue (read revenue, not profit), Carbon Combat will forever remain stagnant and unable to compete with other indie games, much less AAA free standalone games.

This same principle goes with any good game you can play. Without a steady revenue stream, a game cannot expand and cannot be developed upon. A good example of this is Mars Explorer.

I suppose I can't dissuade you from leaving, so I'll bid you goodbye. Perhaps sometime in the future you'll realize that the rental system wasn't all that bad. I'm glad you enjoyed Carbon Combat; farewell.

Why can't you make things normal and take out this stupid rental system.

Then how about add in an option so that you can either rent or buy?

There is an option. You just have to be a certain level in order to permanently buy items.

CT that is the problem that we have to be a certain levels no offense but some of us HAVE LIVES but we like this game so we play it and it gets annoying when someone in level 9 pwns u D: so thats the problem

Also, there is an internet and we have lives.  Most people probably don't have time to get 1000+ kills and then earn 16000+ credits just to be able to keep a weapon.

No no. An option that is free. You can either turn it on or off. If you want to rent, turn it on. If you don't, turn it off. Good idea...

No, then everyone would have it off.

No no. It would be cheaper to rent.
