 " Stryker what do you mean you "had to get off the ship real bad?" "

 Well Colonel, you remember how I said people thought I was a n00b?

" Yes? "

 My men on that ship started turning against me and for some reason I couldn't figure out why. So, instead of going through all the ignorant comments and having someone turn against me, I left. It was terrible. It was almost as if they were being controlled but thats obviously impossible.

" Odd. Im glad that never happened here... im sure it never will with my regiment this drastically low. "

Colonel you never told me why your regiment was the only one fighting here. Why was it?

" It wasn't. Before the battle happened, the few of the regiments had to go out and search miles from  here to look for any locations that were wide open and to search for any "n00bs".

Why were you doing that?

" We wanted to make a more private fort that was surrounded by grass and high hills. If we did that, we would be well protected from any enemies. Anyway back to what I was saying. There were only 3 regiments left here on Fort Boxy and that ment we had to protect it at all costs."

" I was put in charge of the all the regiments here and thats why I was confused and mad when you showed up. Ive been here for years and there have only been 4 battles here and now it is amazing that in my lifetime, it is the second that ive fought in. "

Well, I believe it is time we get rest.

" I have already arranged plans for us to move out tomorow. We'll be moving most of the day so we need to be sure were ready. "

    Colonel Chamberlain's Log entry # 12:

 Its been a terrible day. Most of my men are gone and I have no idea what to tell the general.
Ive been having trouble sleeping for the sights I have seen. I figured if I can't sleep I my as well get started on sending letters to there family.

  It is getting harder to hold a pen, for as im writing I keep drifting off to sleep only to wake a moment later. I am surprised to how much I write anymore, but as a soldier I am writing memoirs so people later on in modern life will know the parels I have faced and the bravery I have gained.

Ill write back later seeing as this is my 3rd journal I have written in. Till then, I hope I will be able to make my men proud.

* The Next Morning *

 Morning Colonel Chamberlain and might I say a fine morning to go traveling.

 " Yes Stryker it is indeed a great morning. One of the best as I see it. Would you like me to prepare some hardtack and coffee for us to enjoy before we go? "

Yes Colonel indeed I would. Thank you.

" I have decided to start heading north to see if we can find anything. I had gotton signals last night from my buggy saying there were intruders up that way, so instead of heading east like I thought, were headed north. "

Really? I got the same signals as well.

" Im going to get my regiment's in order and then we'll be ready to move out. "

( *Walks to hundreds if men*)

"Men gather around." It has come to my attention that we can no longer stay here. I have come to the conclusion that we are all going to move out and see if we can find the rest of our regiments. There are less than 300 of us now and we are to protect our army the best we can."

"I am proud of you all for your bravery yesterday. Not only are we looking for our men but, we are looking for our enemys. I hope we are successful in finding the general and cathing the rebels."

"Now get ready to move out. We'll be moving all day. That is all."

*suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder.  I hear a faint voice and I cannot here it well.*

Excuse me sir but I was wond...

" Excuse me sir but who are you?"

Oh im sorry Colonel. I am ffroggy. I was wondering if I could join you in the fight against the n00bs.
Mind if I join?

" Well, ffroggy go over to Sargent Andrews over there and he will get you your uniform. I would say more but my men are about to move out. "

But Colonel this is important.

" Yes? "

I would like to help your men develope new weapons and make your vehicles more stable. I seen the battle yesterday as I was flying by and I seen that you guys were having trouble with your shields. I can fix that for you in no time.

" Well, you are welcome to do so. Now if you don't mind I have to get ready to move out. "

Yes sir. Thank You sir.

( We moved out and I was excited to go searching. I had been waiting to get out of that fort for a long time.)

* After 2 hours of wondering a noise that sounds like a buggy from a distance away approches. *

" Stryker who is that? Anyone you know? "

No Colonel I don't. I looks to be a civilian, for he has no marks or symbols on his buggy.

* I raced ahead of my men leaving Stryker to take control of the regiments. *

" STOP! I AM COLONEL CHAMBERLAIN AND I ORDER YOU TO STAND STILL!! "

* Soon I heard a screeching noise from my tires. I had stopped quick enough that I didn't hit this person.*

Sorry sir but I didn't even see you there. Who'd you say you were?

" I said I am Colonel Chamberlain and I need to make sure that you are not a n00b. "

Sir in all do respect your the person im looking for. I want to be your navigator. With how fast I go, im just the guy you need to go ahead of your men and search for any of those n00bs.

" You know its amazing that I found anyone wanting to join my army at all today. You see just yesterday..."

There was a battle at Fort Boxy and you are a devestated man.

" YES! How do you people know that?!?!? "

People flying by have alerted settlements not far from there. It spreads very quickly here on mars.

" Alright then. What is your name anyway? "

My name is ZOOM3000 and I know how to speed at great miles. I was wondering if there was any army that I could join for me to be a navigator. Lucky for me thats who I am.

" Alright ZOOM just step in line some where and when I need you ill yell out. Actuall, I need you right now, so go ahead and drive a few miles north and report your findings. "

Yes sir.

*Just then a voice radioed in*

Chamberlain I am the one who caused the battle. And I am proud of MY men... The n00bs.

" Who is this? I am addresed as Colonel to you. "

Like I care. Im Ender, the great leader of the n00bs. I demand that you call me leader of all n00bs.

" Like I care. Ender I will find you. Thats no promise... that a 100% garantee! You killed many of my men and you want me to call you the great leader of whatever?!?! It doesn't work the way you want it. Thats why I am against you. "

Well, suit yourself Colonel, for one day we will both meet in person. Thats no promise, thats a 100% garantee.

" Whats with people taking my words? Thats pathetic. "

*Well, thats what n00bs are. Said a voice from behind me.*

Im Whippet and I want to be a scientist who will help you develope new and more accurate things.

" Sure you can join. "

THANK YOU!

Colonel Chamberlain's Log # 13:

Today was awkwarrd. Some how word got out that I needed more men to join me and they all said the same thing. It makes me wonder if Ender found us just by word getting out. I have to keep that from happening.

Im glad I have gotton people to join today even if it was all a coinsidence. Maybe there is a new beginning to life here on Mars. It is sad though on why we need a revolution even if it seems like a civil war against our own people.

I was reading the "Gettysburg Address" Written by Abraham Lincoln and the words he said made me feel like him when all those men died in a town in southern Pennsylvania. Its similar to alot of things that are happening nowadays. I just hope it won't BE the same....

(Sorry if its long. If your wondering what the picture is of just comment below. Thank you :)

Thanks Guys for the great comments! The picture is from Gettysburg,Pa at Little Round Top during a sunset. The statue is of General Warren who was known for standing on the rock that the staue is on and spotting confederate soldiers at Devil's Den at the bottom of the mountian.

Right up the hill at Little Round Top behind the rocks and the statue, is a monument for the 20th Maine. The 20th Maine is the regiment the real Colonel Joshua Chamberlain was in charge of and he and his men fought bravely at the top of the hill.

Colonel Chamberlain's men were "the end of the line" for the Union Army and they had to protect the hill at all costs. He fought with his brother Thomas Chamberlain, who was a sargent of the Colonel's regiment. Thomas' story is never told a lot but he is also famous like his older brother.

Colonel Chamberlain was hit with a bullet but was not wounded. Here the bullet hit his sabre and bent it leaving the Colonel unwounded. Colonel Chamberlain was awarded the "Congressional Medal Of Honor" and was promoted to Major General after the battle. He died in 1914 from a wound he recieved 50 years before, during the American Civil War.

I will try to put some of these things in the story to make all characters better. I thank you all again for your great comments. :D

(EDIT): If you want to see what Colonel Chamberlain did the day of the battle, you can watch the 1993 movie " Gettysburg " that was filmed on the battlefield its self. Jeff Daniels plays Chamberlain and C. Thomas Howell plays his brother Thomas Chamberlain.

Kevin Costner plays Kilrain, who was great friends with The Chamberlains during the war. Its great movie and I hope you guys get to see it.

There was another movie called " Gods and Generals " With the same people playing the same people, but this is the beginning of the war, where it shows Colonel Chamberlain teaching his colledge students about how to get ready for the war. It even shows how he became Colonel.

That is also a great movie. The one who plays General Lee in Gettysburg was Martin Sheen but, the one who plays General Lee in Gods and Generals is diffrent General George " Stonewall " Jackson is also in Gods and Generals.

They are both truly great movies and I suggest that if you like things similar to my story :P then these are great movies to see.

SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?! Come on guys don't start this here! I didn't make the story a place for you to flame eachother just because you don't want someone in it. You seem to be forgetting who writes the story and who's in charge of it!

Just because Cav says he wants to be in you guys go off. I swear thats getting old and its very annoying to see. I suggest you just go with it or don't worry about it at all!

No more grammer rights. Thats getting annoying to see as well. WE GET IT!

No more of these arguments! Even on Cav. I think he gets that you guys don't like having him around but, for god's sake grow up!!!

@Bob:
Hey, I wanted to be a noob!
Although I suppose some do think I am a noob...ah well. :)
I think Chamberlain should let Cav be in the story.

@Cav:
Your post was kind of (very) confusing, but I get the gist of it.
CHILL.
And that's called "ranting", not "grammar Nazi". Grammar Nazi is where you criticize people ONLY for grammar and spelling. ;)

@Yoshi:
Nobody's grammar is perfect. I'm sure YOU'VE made at least one grammar mistake in the last six months.

@Colonel:
"You guys"? That was only Bob.
And you're right. We don't flame people on posts. (we do that on the post for non-Mars topics)
