  • Yesterday evening, after I brought the horses in from pasture at around 8 o'clock, I took Bob out for a short trail ride on state land.   Bonnie came along, too.  We saw an elk, which didn't run away until we were right up close to it, about 30' away I'd say.  Very cool!
  • This morning, I read my Bible outside.  There's nothing like it.
  • Dad and I went to town today.  He had a lot of stops to make and I was just along for the ride - I had that "I've got to get out of the house" feeling.
  • It's getting close to Fair time!  I LOVE going to the fair.  It's an old-time country fair - tons of fun:)
  • I don't have much of a garden this year, but my potato plants are really taking off.  I should hope so, living in Idaho;)
  • Okay, I think it's about time I mentioned something about movies...;D
  • Last week I got the LoTR trilogy from the library.  I do love those movies...and yes, I'm going to go ahead and say it - Aragorn is awesome!
  • I'm okay...really.
  • I also got some fun musicals for my mom and I to watch...
The Wizard of Oz
Funny Face
{Fred Astaire & Audrey Hepburn}
  • The Harvey Girls and Funny Face are two of my absolute favorite musicals.
  • While we're still on the subject of movies, I finally caved and bought a set of three Audrey Hepburn movies which I have been wanting for a while.
  • I had a wee bit of extra money as I was able to sell my two old ewes.
  • So, it's all good:)
  • My dad bought my mom the entire collection of Leave It To Beaver, an old TV show.  They're really good and we've all been enjoying them.
  • Well, that's about it...
  • Oh, except that we have a HUGE frog in our pond!  I almost forgot about that.  It's seriously really big.  Like, really big.
  • Happy Trails, y'all!

Are you guys going to the Kootenai County fair this year? Or the Bonner County? Was the frog bigger than the one we saw on the road that one time?

Alex will be at the Kootenai County Fair because he's signed up to help in the 4-H Food Booth, but we're both planning on going to the Bonner County Fair on Saturday the 27th.
I'd say the frog is pretty comparable in size to the one we saw at the side of the road - huge! =)

Never seen Harvey Girls or Annie Get Your Gun. The other two? priceless.
